EASTERN TRAIL CLOSURE NOTICE – Pine Point Parking Lot

EASTERN TRAIL CLOSURE NOTICE

SCARBOROUGH, ME – The Eastern Trail Pine Point Parking Lot will be closed beginning Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 9:00 pm and the trail through the Scarborough Marsh will be closed on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm for repair work.

No detour option will be available given the limitations of the area. The closure will affect the Pine Point Parking Lot (the lot will be used for equipment staging beginning the night beforehand) and the trail from Route 9/Pine Point Road across the marsh, including the bridge, to the wood line. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes.

During this trail closure, the Town of Scarborough will add material to low spots and areas near the bridge that sustained damage during the winter storms.

Please respect the trail closure and stay clear of the work area. Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and understanding.
